Elias Praxmarer composed this solemn Latin Mass in the spring of 2021 on the occasion of the upcoming organ dedication in the St. Antonius Church in Rietz, Tyrol; a revision for the Stams monastery jubilee in the summer of 2023 followed. This easily singable Mass setting “in memory of Franz Schubert” is characterized on the one hand through its intimate, devotional atmosphere, and on the other hand through its majestic organ sounds. The Gloria, which builds the formal climax, culminates in a magnificently crafted finale with a full organ chorus. The Mass can be performed with a wide variety of organs types and is a great enrichment for any church music occasion. Trumpets and trombones (ad.lib.) give it a particularly festive character.
The instrumental parts (organ, trumpets and trombones) are included in the full score. The individual parts are available in the HELBLING Media App (access code in the full score) as printable PDFs.
