Frequently asked questions

How can I unlock content in the HELBLING Media App?

To unlock content, you need a 16-digit code. You will receive this as part of your physical product or - if you purchase a code product via HELBLING webshop - digitally by email and in your webshop profile. If you have a code, install the Media App on a device of your choice and activate the code (see ‘How it works’).
The use of selected content may require a HELBLING Account. If this is the case, log in with your existing HELBLING Account or create a new account. The content will then be added to your personal account and can be used on all devices on which you have installed the HELBLING Media App.

I have a digital subscription (e.g. e-mip, e-PaMina). How can I activate the subscription code?

Registering and activating the subscription works in the same way as activating other Media App content (see "How it works"). You can find video instructions and more information on the subscription at helbling.com/mip or helbling.com/pamina.

How can I use content offline?

The HELBLING Media App offers the option of using content temporarily offline.

Android or iOS: Open an item from the Media App shelf and then tap on the info icon in the top right. You can save the content for offline use via "Download content".

Windows or macOS: Click the download button on the cover of the item in the Media App shelf or download content individually in the chapter menu.

Note: You can only use the HELBLING Media App for Windows/macOS without an internet connection if you have previously activated the "Stay logged in" option. If you open the HELBLING Media App within 30 days with an existing internet connection, the offline usage period will be extended by a further 30 days. If you start the HELBLING Media App after 30 days with an existing internet connection, you will be asked again to log in and you can activate the "Stay logged in" option again. The content saved offline remains available regardless of this and does not need to be downloaded again.

Do I have to pay for the content?

Content is either part of a physical product and is purchased with this product or can be purchased as a "digital only" product in the HELBLING webshop. No costs can arise by using the HELBLING Media App and there are no in-app purchases.

What permissions do I need to grant the HELBLING Media App for Android/iOS during installation?

To use the QR code scanner, the app requires access to the camera. Manual code entry via the input field is possible independently of this.
