Elias Praxmarer

Born in 1994 in Hall in Tyrol, Elias Praxmarer studied instrumental pedagogy, organ, piano, composition and music theory at the Mozarteum University in Innsbruck and Salzburg as well as at the Academy of Music in Munich.
Concerts as a soloist and chamber music partner in various European countries, composition commissions from renowned ensembles and festivals at home and abroad. Different prizes and awards, most recently a composition scholarship of the provincial capital of Innsbruck as well as the Richard Wagner Scholarship. Since 2018 abbey organist and initiator/artistic director of “stift stams sakral/Festival Orgel Plus” in Stams Abbey. Since 2020 Artistic Director of the European Cities of Historical Organs (ECHO) and competition director of the International Paul Hofhaimer Organ Competition. In 2023 he won the prestigious Saarlouis Composition Competition for Organ from 50 participants from 19 countries.
