Maria auf dem Berge is a traditional song from Silesia. Mary is trying to rock her child and keep it warm, she asks Joseph (dialogue accompanied by the other choral parts) for help. Felix Woyrsch (1860–1944) arranged the traditional song for mixed voices a cappella. The choral piece can be sung with the original German lyrics or additional English lyrics (Maria on the Mountain).
