A four-part male-voice choir commences this new interpretation of the text from the funeral liturgy. Hopeful and confident, the dynamics of the piece increase to the powerful Chorus angelorum that ultimately intone a tender "Alleluia" in the form of two soprano soloists (solo group ad lib) while the choir expresses the desire for eternal rest and the hope for everlasting life in a dark B-flat Major. This choral piece was composed in the summer of 2016 within the framework of the "European Seminar for Young Composers" unter the direction of the American composer Z. Randall Stroope.
