This sacred choral piece unites Heinrich Schütz's well-known Aller Augen (The eyes of all) and Lorenz Maierhofer's Mein Mund verkünde (My mouth extols) in an impressive hymn of praise that can be sung on many occasions throughout the ecclesiastical year, in concerts, religious services and ceremonial occasions. An optional strophe takes as its theme the feelings of expectation of believers during Advent. To be sung with English or German lyrics (Mein Mund verkünde das Lob des Herren), a cappella or with organ accompaniment.
