Classical in character, The Lord’s Prayer moves both performers and audience alike with its exceptional depth of expression, and yet it is not difficult to sing. Michael Aschauer has divided the prayer into a song of three verses. The singing voices are supported by the organ or piano accompaniment ad lib, which also enriches this choral piece with an atmospheric prelude, interlude and postlude. The piece can also be sung in the German version Vater unser. An ideal addition to the sacred repertoire for women's choirs.
