The three angelic female voices herald this arrangement of the Bohemian Christmas carol by Carl Riedel (1827–1888). Shortly afterwards the male voices join in, the shepherds pipe up. Praising the lord, the choral piece ends in a grand 7-part finale (SAATTBB). The festive choral piece can be sung with original German as well as English lyrics (Come, All Ye Shepherds).
