Born in Mykolaiv (Ukraine), studied at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. On completion of his studies, Brochin moved to Germany at the invitation of the Gymnasium am Oelberg, in the town of Königswinter-Oberpleis. Today he is a successful director of several choirs and is much in demand as a répétiteur, lecturer and jury member. Brochin works closely together with the European Choral Association – Europa Cantat and advises the organization on matters relating to cooperation with the Russian Federation. He is the artistic director of the choral festival Youth Choirs in Movement. In addition, he is also an active composer and arranger.
