Hans-Günther Driess

Hans-Günther Driess studied music education at the Stuttgart Academy of Music and German language and literature at the Stuttgart University. He taught at the Plochingen Grammar School for 36 years. The Folklore Choir Plochingen, which he founded, is known nationwide as a prize-winner at choir competitions, through studio productions, radio broadcasts, concert tours and various recordings. The choir’s specialty lies in the authentic presentation of international folklore in over 30 original languages using instruments typical of the country. The Federal Association of German Choral Associations awarded Hans-Günther Driess the title of Choral Director BDC for his successful choral work and his artistic achievements. He works as a concert critic for various newspapers.
