Musician, composer and choral director. Björn Mummert has performed in different formations since 1978, including the band Steak with whom he recorded his first album with his own compositions and in the vocal ensemble Vocaholics. He is the founder and choral director of the pop choir ChorColores and he teaches at the Schleswig-Flensburg district music school. His multifaceted work as a composer comprises, besides choral music, especially music for the stage. Thereby, collaboration with the Schleswig-Holstein regional theater for which he has composed music for various productions has played an important role. In 2008 he received the Culture Prize of his home city Schleswig for his oeuvre.
