This simple melody is Poland’s best known Christmas lullaby. It was even adapted by Chopin and incorporated into his Scherzo No. 1 in B minor (op. 20) as a subsidiary theme. In Polish it is called Lulajże, Jezuniu, a lullaby for the baby Jesus. Gwyn Arch arranged the Christmas carol in an English text version for four male voices a cappella.
