Richard studied Mathematics at Cambridge University and Music Composition at The Royal College of Music, London and het Koninklijk Conservatorium, Den Haag. Since 2005 he has been working with professionals and amateurs as composer, conductor, arranger and pianist. As a composer, his works for professional ensembles have been broadcast on national radio in both the UK and the Netherlands. As a vocal and instrumental arranger he has written for groups in the Netherlands, Belgium and France, including theaterzanggroep Prestige, Pandora Werktheater and two completely new musicals for Stichting Nieuwe Theaterwerk. As music director he has worked on over 50 productions all over the Netherlands.
